    Abstract
The Mount Merapi eruption has a major impact on the economic sector. One of the losses in the economic sub-sector is livestock. Road conditions, traffic, and the evacuation travel time can reduce productivity and even animal death. Therefore, mitigation and strategic efforts for the animal evacuation process are future challenges. This study aims to identify alternative safe and low-risk evacuation routes for livestock in Kepuharjo Village, Cangkringan. Primary data were obtained through stakeholder interviews and direct observation to obtain the geometry data, pavement conditions, and traffic. Meanwhile, evacuation and hazard maps, vehicle ownership data were obtained from the Sleman BPBD Merapi Eruption contingency document and Kepuharjo Village Contingency document. Evacuation time simulation using Anylogic software and the assessment of the best alternative routes using the Multi Criteria Analysis (MCA) method. Based on the analysis, there are 5 alternative livestock evacuation routes in Kepuharjo Village, Cangkringan. The results of the MCA assessment and anylogic software simulation show that routes 1 and 2 are the best with values of 3.67 and 3.71. Both routes have advantages in terms of shorter road length and travel time, wide and good pavement conditions, and lower hazard risks.
