| dc.description.abstract | Godean Street is one of the main routes in Yogyakarta, Indonesia,
connecting the city center with the western region of Yogyakarta and
Kulonprogo with a length of about 34.1 km. This road plays an important
role in the economic and tourism sectors, as it provides many economic
activities as well as access to tourist destinations in Kulonprogo. However,
as the volume of vehicles and community activities increases, the condition
of the road is deteriorating, with various types of damage such as potholes,
edge cracks, and alligator cracks. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the
condition of road pavement to identify the level of damage and service
function of existing roads. Assessment of the condition of Godean Road can
be done with various methods, such as using the Surface Distress Index
(SDI) and Present Serviceability Index (PSI). Surface Distress Index (SDI)
is a method to measure the level of damage to the road surface that refers
to the guidelines of Bina Marga, 2011. Meanwhile, Present Serviceability
Index (PSI) is a method used to determine the level of road service function
based on AASHTO guidelines. The evaluation results show that the average
SDI value is 73, which indicates the condition of the road in the moderate
category, with 60% of the road surface in moderate condition. While the
average PSI value is 1.39, which indicates that the road service function is
in the poor category. Based on the damage analysis, the required treatments
include paving, crack sealing, leveling, and repairs to wheel damage and
