PERANCANGAN HOMESTAY DI DESA WISATA NGLINGGO DENGAN PENDEKATAN ARSITEKTUR TROPIS DAN PENERAPAN KONSEP EDUKATIF DAN KOMUNIKATIF

Abstract

Desa Wisata Nglinggo merupakan salah satu desa wisata di Kulon Progo Yogyakarta yang terkenal wisata alamnya. Salah satu potensi yang dimiliki adalah kebun kopi dan teh. Teh sangrai merupakan minuman khas Nglinggo tetapi tidak banyak wisatawan yang tahu proses pembuatannya. Seiring dengan meningkatnya wisatawan yang datang ke Desa Wisata Nglinggo yang juga penikmat teh sangrai, maka dibutuhkan fasilitas akomodasi sebagai fasilitas tambahan. Fasilitas yang diberikan harus mampu memberikan pengalaman juga pengetahuan baru tentang proses pembuatan teh sehingga wisatawan tidak hanya berlibur saja tetapi juga mendapatkan manfaat dari liburannya. Permasalahan pada perancangan ini ialah merancang homestay edukatif dan komunikatif di Kawasan Desa Wisata Nglinggo yang dapat mengakomodasikan wisatawan dengan pendekatan arsitektur tropis. Penerapan arsitektur tropis pada perancangan homestay ini yaitu dengan menggunakan pencahayaan dan penghawaan alami. Konsep edukatif yang diterapkan adalah dengan susunan ruang yang memiliki hierarki sehingga layout ruang dari proses sortir hingga finishing tersusun mengikuti proses untuk pembuatan teh. Konsep komunikatif yang diterapkan adalah dengan transformasi design dalam bentuk representasi sebagai bentuk komunikasi. Representasi dari daun pada pohon sehingga mendapatkan 2 massa yang terpisah pada bangunan dan bentuk panel yang terinspirasi dari pohon teh yang diterapkan dalam fasad bangunan. Nglinggo Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages in Kulon Progo Yogyakarta which famous with natural attractions . One of potential is coffee and tea gardens. Roasted tea is a special drink from Nglinggo but no many tourists know how to make that. As time goes by, more and more tourist are coming to Nglinggo Tourism Village who also looking for and love roasted tea, then the accommodation facility is required as an additional facility. The facilities provided should be able to provide experience as well as new knowledge about the tea making process so that tourists are not only on vacation but also get the benefits of the holiday. The problem in this design is to design an educative and communicative homestay in Nglinggo Tourism Village which can accommodate tourists with tropical architecture approach. The application of tropical architecture to the design of this homestay by using natural lighting and natural weather. The educative concept applied by the arrangement of space that has a hierarchy so the layout of the space from the sorting process to finishing is arranged following the process for production of roasted tea. The communicative concept applied by design transformation in the form of representation as a form of communication. Representation of the leaves on the tree so as to get 2 separate masses on the building and the panel form inspired from the tea tree that applied in the facade of the building.
