    Abstract
The application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) has become an important approach in the construction industry. This research focuses on the use of BIM in road and bridge construction, especially in the railway flyover construction project in Simpang Joglo, Surakarta Although the use of BIM facilitates planning, execution, and analysis This study made a comparison between the calculation of the volume of steel frame components using Tekla Structure and manual calculations using Excel. The analysis shows that most component volumes have similar results between calculations using Tekla Structures and manual calculations, but there are some differences that require further review. Based on the calculation results, the largest calculation difference is 0.06 kg. this happens to the Top Bracing component. Meanwhile, the comparison of volume calculations in other components ranges from 0 kg to 0.036 kg. in detail the components can be seen in Table 2. The calculation difference is still within the safety range, especially the total difference result shows that there is no difference in the calculation. The comparison of landfill results using the manual Bar Bending Schedule method is greater than the waste content obtained with Tekla. However, based on the analysis that has been done, components that have excess values in both comparisons can be a subtraction from components that experience calculation differences. This shows that when the bridge design in Tekla Structure Software is done well and meticulously, so that there are no overlapping components
