Evaluasi desain struktur perkerasan lentur landasan pacu (runway) menggunakan metode FAA dan metode LCN pada Bandara Dhoho Kediri
Abstract
The thickness planning of a pavement structure in runway construction plays an important role because it is designed to withstand the heaviest aircraft loads expected to use the airport, withstand repeated dynamic loads from aircraft movements with different weights and wheel configurations. This research was conducted to propose alternative designs for the runway pavement of Dhoho Airport Kediri with the FAA manual method, FAA software FAARFIELD method, and LCN method, and to compare them based on the design concept, input parameters, calculation procedures, and thickness results. The three methods use different design concepts, the FAA manual method is based on the aircraft plan with the largest MTOW, the FAA software FAARFIELD method is not based on determining the aircraft plan but all aircraft are included as indicated by the CDF value, while the LCN method is based on the aircraft plan with the largest ACN value. The thickness results of the three methods if the material, thickness of AC-WC, AC-BC, and AC-Base are the same, then the base and subbase layers are thinnest in the FAA software FAARFIELD method compared to the FAA manual and LCN methods
