| dc.description.abstract | Road pavement structures have a function to distribute loads from vehicle wheels to the subgrade surface. With the load that continues to occur over a period of time, it can cause some damage. This research was conducted to evaluate structural performance of the Cipatujah Kalapagenep Pangandaran Road section by using elastic and viscoelastic approach, using KENPAVE software. The strains and stresses obtained from the current design were reviewed to predict the damage and remaining service life of the pavement, then redesign with Bina Marga 2017 method is carried out if the current pavement cannot withstand the traffic load during its service life. The results showed that based on the elastic and viscoelastic approaches, the elastic design has a higher service life than the viscoelastic design. Based on the type of pavement design there is a difference in the type of damage that occurs earlier, design of layer by using AC Base showed that permanent deformation damage occurs first while pavement design using the CTB showed that rutting was earlier to happen. | en_US |
