    Abstract
Indonesia is a nation that has relatively high seismic and volcanic activities and is vulnerable to earthquakes. Therefore, the buildings must be calculated by considering earthquake load. Most structures, like earth-fill dams, have an increased risk when structural failure happens. The point of this study is to understand the seismic hazard and the dam stability of Way Apu dam that’s located approximately in the Waepo sub-district, of the Buru District, from the Province of Maluku, using Pseudostatic Seismic Hazard Analysis (PSHA) for the seismic hazard, and Static and Dynamic analysis for the dam stability. The result shows that the peak ground acceleration with 100 and 10.000 years of recurrence are 0.206 and 0.767, which will use as the Operational Basis Earthquake and Maximum Design Earthquake, respectively, on the static stability analysis and dynamic stability analysis. An operational basis for earthquakes with various water levels, the Way Apu dam mainly fulfills the safety factor criteria, except when maximum design earthquake is concerned. Per the rule of Pd-T 14 2004-A, dynamic stability analysis is conducted to calculate the deformity of an earthquake. After completing the dynamic stability analysis, we can conclude that Way Apu dam fulfilled the safety factor criteria.
