The congestion at the Monjali intersection is due to an increase in traffic volume and the existence of a central opening a few metres before the intersection. Vehicles that make a U-turn often reduce their speed and even stop waiting for the vehicle from the opposite direction to decline, so that it affects those behind them who do not make a U-turn. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of a curve on the efficiency of the Monjali intersection. The calculations relied on Bina Marga (BM/06/2005) and MKJI 1997. The data was analyzed using the VISSIM software. The results of the analysis show that relocating the turnaround facility to the intersection is no better than the existing conditions and is not recommended because it cannot improve service levels. The North, South and West Arms did not experience a change in service level while the East Arm experienced a decrease in service level from D to E. The second option involves changing the running time of the traffic lights. The service level of the North Arm changed from E to D, the South Arm changed from D to C while the East Arm decreased from D to E. The West Arm did not experience a change in service level. The saturation level value on each arm is also within the requested value < 0.85.en_US
