    Abstract
Following the expansion plan and improvement of transportation facilities in Yogyakarta where many roads will have their road functions improved and do not yet meet the specification standards for road user, one of which is on the Sampakan - Singosaren road section, therefore a review is needed on the road section. The purpose of this research is to evaluate and redesign the road geometry on the Sampakan – Singosaren section according to Road Geometric Design Guidelines (Pedoman Nomor 13/P/BM/2021). This evaluation and redesign was carried out with reference to secondary data obtained from the Department of Highways for the Special Region of Yogyakarta in the form of road functions, planned speed and contour image (topography) obtained from Google Earth and processed using the TCXConverter and QuickGrid applications. Evaluation and redesign are carried out with the help of Autocad Civil 3D software. The results of the study were that in accordance with the 2021 Road Geometry Design Guidelines, several factors on the Sampakan – Singosaren road section were evaluated with the results that most of the road width and curve's shapes did not comply, so a redesign was needed. Based on the results, a 1,952 kilometer route was obtained with a total number 7 curves and 12 vertical curves. The lane width is 3.25 meters with a total track width of 7.5 meters. The lowest elevation is at STA 0 + 436.59 with a height of 60.11 meters and the highest is at STA 0 + 271.14 with a height of 63.92 meters.
