    Abstract
Hospital building X, with 3 floors in Yogyakarta, was constructed in stages. The first phase involved erecting one floor, as planned according to SNI 1726 2012. Six years later, the next phase commenced. However, with the enactment of SNI 1726 2019, an evaluation was necessary. The result indicated that the existing building columns were unsafe, necessitating reinforcement and structural adjustment. Column reinforcement was done using the concrete jacketing method. The new structure altered the number of required reinforcements. The research aimed to assess the building's structural performance and the plastic hinge plasticity level before and after reinforcement. Licensed ETABS software was used for nonlinear pushover analysis. The modeling was divided into two parts: without and with reinforcement. The research findings showed a decrease in target displacement during BSE-2N earthquakes before and after reinforcement. The average reduction in both x and y directions was 23.85%, with consistent performance categorized as damage control. Similarly, target displacement during BSE-1N earthquakes decreased before and after reinforcement, with an average reduction of 23.35% in both directions. Consequently, the performance target improved from damage control to immediate occupancy. The plastic hinge plasticity level before and after reinforcement during BSE-1N earthquakes remained consistent, categorized as B-C. The average decrease in the number of plastic hinges in both x and y directions at the BSE-1N earthquake level was 36.45%.
