    Abstract
Modular building construction is becoming popular around the world in the hope of reducing resource wastage and providing innovation opportunities that enable further advancements in the field. According to previous research, the connections between modular components are critical to maintaining the integrity of modular buildings. The present study was conducted to model steel modular units into several condition variations equipped with selected connections. The pushover analysis or nonlinear static procedures (NSPs) method was conducted to simulate the performance of the module under each condition variation. The results show that (a) the plastic joint length is taken as 0.5 of the profile height, (b) all the results of modeling the variation of conditions using links give small initial stiffness compared to the model without links. (c) modeling the modular unit by including the wall element shows linear results, so the wall model is not considered.
