dc.description.abstractThe implementation of the construction project requires good analysis at the planning and scheduling stage, because the output is used as a benchmark in the implementation and becomes an important point in the success of the project. A common problem is that there is an inconsistency between the burden and work capacity in planning and too much security time allocation that makes current project planning inadequate. Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) methodology is assessed to be able to address the problem by replacing the assumption of excess security time with buffer time by cutting 30% of the time of each work and reducing the presence of multitasking for better resource management. This study uses the CCPM method in an attempt to optimize the duration of conventional planning on building construction projects. Based on the analysis carried out, the CCPM method can optimize 18 days from the initial duration for the project of 130 days to 112 working days with records using the entire buffer time available. As far as this is concerned, it shows that CCPM can provide a shorter project duration.en_US
