    Abstract
Concrete infrastructure in Indonesia is still dominated by natural aggregate materials, but the utilization of waste rubber tires as a coarse aggregate substitution is proposed to reduce environmental impacts. This study examines the effect of waste tire substitution on compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, and flexural strength of concrete with 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% substitution variations. The specimens were cylinders of 150 mm diameter and 300 mm height, and beams of 150 mm × 150 mm × 600 mm. The results showed that 4% substitution decreased the compressive strength by 25,65%, while 4% substitution increased the flexural strength by 16,96%. This indicates that although waste tires reduce compressive strength, flexibility and crack resistance of concrete can be increased at certain levels. This innovation has the potential to reduce natural aggregate consumption and support sustainable concrete construction, while providing a reference for the development of environmentally friendly concrete.
