dc.description.abstractThe highway is one of the trasportation infrastructure that is needed by the community to mobilize their activies. Becauseof that, good quality of the highway is needed. The mixture is consist of asphalt, aggregate, and Filler for filling cavity between the aggregate. Given the importance of the use of Filler then the innovate Filler was carried out with Gerabah waste, because too much Gerabah waste what useless. The purpose of this research is to find the feasibility of Gerabah Waste as a substitute of Filler on Superpave mixture of nominal size 12,5 mm.The research was carried out in several stage. The first stage was testing the material, there is asphalt testing, aggregate, and Filler. For next step is determine the measure of optimum Asphalt on Superpave Mixture in the proportion of substitute Filler 0%,25%,50%,75%,100% of Filler Clereng. Then make sample mixture for Marshall Test, Immersion Test, and ITS Test. After that, the next stage is analysis and disccusion about the result. The standards used in examining of materials refer to Bina Marga 2018. The results of the research on Marshall characteristics, there is degradation of stability when the subtitute is rising, while the value of Flow is increased. The values of MQ and VFWA were decreased, whereas, the value of VITM and VMA were increased. The results of the Immersion Test and IRS showed a decrease with the addition of Gerabah Filler, a decrease of 8%-11%. This shows durability of Gerabah mixture not as good as Clereng mixture. Meanwhile, the results of the tensile strength (ITS) of the Superpave mixture decreased as the Gerabah Filler increased,a decrease around 7% at 100% Gerabah Filler. This shows the Gerabah mixture in resisting tensile strength decreases than Clereng mixture. Gerabah Filler that is suitable for use is 0%-75% of Filler Clereng.en_US
