| dc.description.abstract | Roads are land transportation infrastructure that plays an important role in the transportation
sector, especially for the continuity of the distribution of goods and services as well as people.
The existence of a good and useful transportation system is one of the important requirements for
the development and improving the welfare of the community. Milir-Sentolo road is one of the
routes that connects DIY Province with Central Java Province and supports the development of
the Kulon Progo Regency area. In addition to supporting the economic sector of the Kulon Progo
District, this road segment is also an access to Kulon Progo Airport from Yogyakarta Province.
In designing the pavement structure of Milir-Sentolo road, data is collected from Satuan Kerja
Pelaksana Jalan Nasional (P2JN). In this research, the pavement thickness was analyzed using
the mechanistic empirical method namely KENPAVE program with elastic and viscoelastic
modeling. After analyzing the KENPAVE program with elastic and viscoelastic modeling using
the existing pavement AC-WC 4 cm, AC-BC 6 cm, AC-Base 20 cm and LPA class A 30 cm, the
response of the axle load repetitions was 154,797,390 ESAL until permanent deformation damage
happened with elastic model and 85,378,748 ESAL until permanent deformation damage
happened with viscoelastic model. From the repetition of axle loads, the service life of the existing
flexible pavement is up to 21 years until it’s damaged by permanent deformation with the elastic
modeling and for the viscoelastic modeling is only able to withstand up to 14 years until it’s
damaged by permanent deformation. | en_US |
