Fine aggregate or sand is a material that must be present in the process of every construction
construction. Seeing that construction development in Indonesia is currently very advanced and
growing. This will increase the demand for building materials on a large scale used
for construction. This leads to the limitation of sand for the use of construction materials.
Therefore, it is necessary to find an alternative to find a replacement for some of the sand. One
alternative is the utilization of stone crushing industrial waste in the form of stone dust. In
this research, concrete job mix is designed using SNI 03-2834-2000 of of 30 MPa compressive
strength standard by, adding stone dusk as a substitute partial for fine aggregate and Sika
Viscocrete 3115N’s superplasticizer with amount of 0,4% of the cement weight. Variations in
the addition of stone dusk used were 0%, 10%, 20%, and 30% of the weight of the sand.
This research aims to determine the characteristics of concrete from testing the compressive
strength, tensile strength, modulus elasticity, water absorption, and volume weight of concrete
with cylindrical specimens and flexural strength of concrete with beam specimens. The
experiment was carried out after the age of the concrete reached 28 days. Research conducted
showed the highest percentage value in stone dusk by 20% with the addition of viscocrete
3115N of 0,4%. In the compressive strength test, the highest value was 33,52 MPa, the tensile
strength was 2,91 MPa, and the flexural strength was 3,90 MPa. In the water absorption test,
the percentage of stone dusk 30% has the highest water absorption value of 2,13%. On the
volume weight, the value of the weight of the concrete volume decreases this is due to the
type of weight of the stone dust is smaller than the fine aggregate so that it affects the value
of the volume weight.
