    Abstract
Concrete is a composite material consisting of gravel, sand, portland cement and water. Poor implementation of concrete will produce low compressive strength and lot of pores concrete. Therefore, certain methods are needed to increase the compressive strength and reduce the number of pores. One of them is using admixture in the concrete. Damdex is a type of additive that offers the ability to increase the concrete’s compressive strength and prevent leakage. In this study 5%, 6%, 7% and 8% of Damdex to the cement weight were used. The test was conducted to determine the concrete's compressive strength, the acceleration of concrete's compressive strength increasement and the concrete's absorption at 7, 14, and 28 days. SNI 2834-2000 with 25 MPa compressive strength plan were used for mix design. The results of compressive strength test at 7th day increased by 6,05%; 6,95%; 9,17%; and 11,37%, at 14th day increased by 8,17%; 9,22%; 11,39%; and 14,80%, and at 28th day increased by 3,06%; 4,71%; 7,83%; and 10,24% to normal concrete at the same age. The acceleration of the compressive strength increasement at the 7th day increased by 1,93%; 1,43%; 0,83%; and 0,69%, and at 14th day increased by 4,32%; 3,75%; 2,87%; and 3,60% to normal concrete at the same age. The results of absorption test at 7th day decreased by 36,33%; 37,46%; 39,81%; and 40,41%, at 14th day decreased by 32,27%; 36,89%; 36,90%; and 40,40%, and at 28th day decreased by 33,03%; 33,32%; 39,62%; and 43,70% to normal concrete at the same age.
