| dc.description.abstract | The BSL4 railway is located in the Besitang area, North Sumatra to Langsa, Nanggeroe
Aceh Darussalam. The construction of the railway line is sought not to be on the same level
as the highway, to minimize accidents. The existing reinforcement used on the railway slope
is cantilever concrete retaining wall. This reinforcement is intended to prevent landslides
and maintain the required slope. Steel sheet pile reinforcement is an alternative that can
be used for slope reinforcement. The method used in this research is manual analysis and
finite element method. From the analysis carried out, the results obtained that the SF value
of the retaining wall is SFsliding = 3,526, SFovertuning = 3,105 and SFsoil capacituy = 4,211. Based on
the finite element method, the normal load displacement value = 0,2858 m, while the
earthquake load is 0.0843 m. Normal load SF value = 1,764. The sheet pile used was Nippon
Steel's production of Hat+H NS-SP-10 H type with a driving depth of 7 m. The
displacement value of the sheet pile with normal load = 0,544 m and with an earthquake
load of 0,5108 m. The SF value with earthquake load is 1,544. DPT reinforcement is
considered more effective because it has a greater SF value than sheet pile SF.
Displacement that occurs in DPT is also smaller than with sheet pile, so DPT is more
suitable for use at the location of the Besitang-Langsa rail road. | en_US |
