| dc.description.abstract | The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) has a lot of potential, especially in the fields of tourism
and education, so it has a high level of interaction with domestic and foreign regions. This makes
Adisutjipto International Airport overloaded so that it is unable to serve flights optimally.
Therefore, domestic and international commercial flights were moved from Adisutjipto
International Airport to Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA) where in airport construction one
of the important things was the design of the airport pavement thickness. This research focus on
the pavement planning of Runway, Taxiway and Apron using two methods, namely the FAA
method with the help of FAARFIELD and the ICAO method of the United States of America
Practice by doing the pavement design using both methods. From the results obtained, there are
differences between the two methods due to the ICAO method having to look for Annual
departures for one planned aircraft, while in the FAA method with Faarfield, Faarfield designs
the thickness of the pavement layers one by one and the thickness of the pavement layers will be
determined through cumulative damage or using the Cumulative Damage Factor system or CDF. | en_US |
