dc.description.abstractRhodamin B merupakan salah satu zat warna yang banyak digunakan di bidang industri tekstil sebagai pewarna. Akan tetapi, limbah belum tepat diolah dengan baik, sehingga dapat mencemari lingkungan serta dapat merusak ekosistem perairan. Sn-Montmorillonit merupakan suatu katalis yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pendegradasi limbah rhodamin B. Uji persiapan katalis dilakukan dengan proses pembuatan katalis dari bahan dasar Sn-Montmorillonit disiapkan dengan interkalasi prekursor Sn diikuti dengan kalsinasi pada suhu 400˚C. Karakterisasi fisikokimia material dilakukan dengan pengukuran XRD, FTIR dan juga SEM-EDX morfologi. Aktivitas katalitik Sn-Montmorillonit diuji dalam fotooksidasi rhodamin B melalui proses pengadukan (stirrer) dengan penambahan larutan H2O2 dan tanpa penambahan H2O2. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas oksidai sebagai larutan rhodamin B dengan penambahan H2O2 dapat terderdegradasi sebesar 94,23% dan tanpa penambahan H2O2 dapat terdegradasi sebesar 90,42%. Rhodamine B is one of the dye solutions that are widely used in the textile industry as a dye. But the results of waste obtained can not be processed properly, so it could pollute the environment and could damage the aquatic ecosystems. Sn-Montmorillonite is a catalyst which can be used in degradation process of rhodamine B waste. The catalyst preparation test was performed by catalyst preparation process from Sn-Montmorillonite base material. It was prepared by intercalation of Sn precursor followed by calcination at 400˚C. The physicochemical characterization of the material is done by measuring XRD, FTIR and also SEM-EDX morphology. Sn-Montmorillonite catalytic activity was tested in rhodamine B photooxidation by stirrer process with addition of H2O2 solution and without addition of H2O2. The results showed that oxidic activity as rhodamin b solution with H2O2 addition could be degraded 94.23% and without addition of H2O2 could be degraded by 90,42%.en_US
