    Abstract
There are many innovations to improve the quality of materials, but from many studies only a little research is applied to structure components. Most of the research just restricted to find the compressive strength value from cylindrical samples. Many people lack of information about how the research results can be applied to building components. The research has been done using ingredients added 5% fly ash and 0.6% bestmittel on the compressive strength of concrete and the compressive strength of the concrete confined column by the number of sample on the compressive strength is 72 cylinders measuring 15 cm x 30 cm and the test object at the confined concrete column is 6 column specimens measuring 15 cm x 15 cm x 70 cm. This research uses 3 quality variations, quality of concrete 20 MPa, 25 MPa and 30 MPa, the concrete compressive strength will be tested at the age of 3 days, 7 days, 14 days and 28 days and for confined concrete columns will be tested at the age of 28 days. As a comparison of the compressive strength of the concrete and the compressive strength of the confined concrete column, a normal test sample was made. By comparing the increase in capacity between the compressive strength of the concrete and the compressive strength of the confined concrete column, it can be concluded that the added material used has an increase in the compressive strength of the concrete and the compressive strength of the confined concrete column with the results of the cylinder press test the greatest increase in compressive strength is 37.33% while the compressive strength of the confined concrete column increases by 15.67%.
