    Abstract
Nowadays, a lot of building functional shift is being done because of the pandemic. One example is the functional shift of the Wisma Atlet, where its function is being shifted from a housing facility to a hospital specialized for the COVID patients. In doing the building functional shift, there are some considerations being considered as safety measures. Loading is one of the main considerations, since the SNI 1727 2020 stated that life load is a spatial function. Building functional shift is a spatial functional shift as well, thus the load used needs to be reviewed. Another building functional shift plan was reported in the Bernas newspaper and confirmed by the Yogyakarta Public Relations department is the functional shift of the Mutiara Hotel, from a hotel to a shopping mall. Mutiara Hotel was built in the 70s, thus it was not built using the latest SNI. Therefore, analysis in the shift of the building responses are needed in order to find out the safety value of the building if the plan is going to be implemented. This research is aimed to analyze the structural responses of the building. This research is conducted by modelling the hotel structure as a shopping mall using SAP2000 software and calculating the load based on the SNI 1727 2000. The calculation results are as follow, the base shear is 5800.914 kN, the displacement in the X and Y directions are 126.544 mm and 151.734 mm consecutively, and the storey drifts are still within the safety limit.
