dc.description.abstract | Kasongan Tourism Village is a village known for its handicrafts and is an
industrial center of pottery and sculpture of clay. The community has a potential
in the field of pottery art with innovations that continue to grow and creatively
make this tourism village has its own appeal. The potential of its interconnected
and complementary environment makes for a good and inseparable synergy. The
community has a role in developing the potential of a tourist village and in this
case Kasongan Bantul has an attraction for local and foreign tourists. Various
innovations, creativity, from a dynamic society with its trademark as a tourist
village famous for its pottery craft can make Kasongan more developed and
potential. One strategy to attract local and foreign tourists who visit Kasongan is
with the Craft Gallery. Craft Gallery itself is a container of exhibitions related to
art objects and as a container or means of expression and appreciation of art. Craft
Gallery is expected to be a container to accommodate and support activities and
additional attractions of interest to visit for tourists who want to know more about
the art of pottery. A common problem in this design is to create a Craft Gallery
that is able to accommodate and support the interaction for residents, tourists, and
students based on the potential as a Tourism Village with eco-park concept by
applying the weaving, beading, and molding craft techniques. The design of this
Craft Gallery consists of several aspects, namely the cultivation of land located on
the banks of the Bedog river and optimizing the local wood as a building element.
The planning of this Craft Gallery can be said to be successful because it is able
to generate interaction spaces, pay attention to the ecology around the Bedog
River, and provide a landscape area on vegetation. | en_US |
