Creative-Hub as Rentable Co-Working Space and Curated Compound Planning in Kemang, South Jakarta with an Economic Creative Approach
Abstract
Jakarta, Indonesia's economic hub, contributes approximately 17.5% to the national Gross
Domestic Product, solidifying its role as the country’s largest center of economic activity. The
city’s numerous Central Business Districts (CBDs) house a variety of national and international
companies. Recently, the rise of startups and creative agencies has transformed Jakarta's
office landscape, creating demand for flexible and innovative workspaces that foster
collaboration and creativity, moving away from traditional, formal corporate settings.
This shift in office dynamics prioritizes work environments that facilitate rapid communication,
innovation, and adaptability. Startups and creative agencies increasingly seek workspaces
integrated with amenities that support creative processes, including proximity to
entertainment areas a growing consideration for modern workers.
This project of Creative Hub as a rentable co-working space and curated compound in the
vibrant Kemang area of South Jakarta. The project adopts a Creative Economy approach by
blending entertainment elements with functional office spaces. Key design features include
open-plan layouts, flexible workspaces, and a focus on fostering efficient communication and
collaboration, aligning with the evolving demands of the modern workforce.
