dc.description.abstractBackground: The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI) reported that in 2010 around 30.7 per million population in Indonesia are estimated to have suffer from end-stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) and ranked the 4 cause of death of non-communicable disease hospitalization. The Indonesian Renal Registry (IRR) stated further that from the year 2007-2012, the number of hemodialysis patients (HD) is always increasing, the latest data of 2012 was 19,621 new patients and 9,161 active patients. About 83% of the major disease diagnoses of patients undergoing HD are terminal renal failure. Objective: To know the profile of CKD patients who undergo routine HD at RSUD Sleman Yogyakarta period January-December 2015. Method: This research uses cross-sectional study and involves 100 subjects who are CKD patients and undergo routine HD at RSUD Sleman. The variables in this study were age, sex, occupation, aetiology of CKD, comorbid disease, duration of HD, frequency of HD, complications during HD, haemoglobin level, urea level, creatinine level, and urinary protein level. Data analysis was performed using univariate statistic test. Results and Conclusions: Based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 100 patients who met the criteria as the subject of the study were selected. CKD patients who undergo routine HD at RSUD Sleman were dominated by age group 55-64 years (37%), and male gender (52%). Other profiles obtained though not complete in 100 patients namely housewives (20%), aetiology DM nephropathy (6%), comorbid hypertension (85 people), duration of HD 3-4 hours (3%), frequency of HD 2x/week (49%), with complications during HD ie, dizziness (4 people). Blood tests results were Hb level 10-12 g/dl (41%), urea level 101-200 mg/dl (36%), and creatinine level 5.1-10 mg/dl (37%). There’s no data of urine protein level.en_US
