    Abstract
Transgression in adolescents leads to internal conflicts, which in turn accompany external conflicts. This requires adolescents to have skills in managing emotions and resolving conflicts. One of the ways is forgiveness. Forgiveness can have a positive impact on individuals. Forgiveness can be influenced by several factors, including empathy and attachment. This study aimed to investigate the influence of attachment and empathy on forgiveness among high school students in Yogyakarta. This study involved 260 high school students in Yogyakarta. The research design employed in this study was quantitative correlational. The measurement tools used in this study were the Bolton Forgiveness (BFS) Scale by Amanze and Carson to measure forgiveness, the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) scale by Davis to measure empathy, and the Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment (IPPA) scale by Armstern and Greenberg to measure attachment. Data collection in this study used a purposive sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that attachment and empathy together had a positive influence of 19.4% on forgiveness among high school students in Yogyakarta.
