dc.description.abstractSamosir Island is an island located in North Sumatra, precise- ly on Lake Toba. With various statements stating this island to be A1 international tourism and various evidence such as holding world-class races. of course with rapid development like this raises an issue, the initial issue that will be raised for this case is the lack of lodging on the island of samosir even resulting in some tour- ists resting in cars during peak season. therefore making a resort that uses a profit centre approach is an idea. The main purpose of a resort is to offer a comprehensive and com- plete experience, where guests can relax and enjoy various activities without the need to leave the premises. But a contradiction arises when there is an idea to build a resort against the issue, which is how the owner still earns revenue when it is not in peak season. That’s where the profit area approach comes in, so this area will be a resort and an area that is a centre of activity that consists of several facili- ties that are sold or commercialised so as to get profits for the owner or benefits for its users. From the discussion, the idea to improve the surrounding economy and become a solution to architectural issues in the D’ulos Resorten_US
