Perilaku Pemberian Asi Eksklusif di Tempat Pengungsian Plosokerep Umbulharjo Cangkringan Sleman

Abstract

Background: Breastfeeding is very important for optimizing physical and mental development of infants. Thus, the sufficient knowledge and awareness of mothers in breastfeeding is also very important. Lack of knowledge and awareness of mothers in exclusive breastfeeding can cause loss of the best care to her baby and for the baby means losing a vital source of food. Aim of the study: to determine the level of knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding of infants at the refuge in Plosokerep Umbulharjo Cangkringan Sleman and the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding of infants at the refuge in Plosokerep Umbulharjo Cangkringan Sleman. Methodology: The research kind is an observation study with descriptive quantitative and qualitative examination. The objective is to know the behavior of exclusive breastfeeding at the refuge in Plosokerep Umbulharjo Cangkringan Sleman with the samples used are all nursing mothers with babies aged 0-12 months at the refuge in Plosokerep Umbulharjo Cangkringan Sleman, totaling 62 people. The data analysis methods used in this study is descriptive statistics. Results and discussion: The majority of survey respondents have a level of knowledge that is categorized as moderate (61 people or 98.39%). The majority of survey respondents have a level of exclusive breastfeeding behavior that is classified as moderate (30 people or 48.39%). Conclusion: The level of knowledge about breastfeeding and exclusive breastfeeding behavior are classified as moderate
