    Abstract
The significant drop in salak prices to Rp1000 per kilogram in Turi Sleman has led to substantial losses for local farmers, who are compelled to sell raw produce due to the lack of processing facilities. This thesis aims to design and implement the first salak processing center with an eco-factory approach at Embung Kaliaji, Turi, as a solution to this issue. The eco-factory approach is selected to integrate environmental principles into the design and operation of the facility, thereby maximizing production and tourism potential. The research focuses on three main aspects: firstly, creating the inaugural eco-factory in Turi, which currently lacks processing facilities, using an ecological approach to enhance production and attract tourists. Secondly, designing the layout and integrating the eco-factory within the site as a cohesive unit that supports mutual functionality, including utilizing site contours, natural light, and rainwater for energy efficiency and sustainability. Thirdly, developing a building design that leverages the surrounding environment, particularly Embung Kaliaji, to create an atmosphere that connects with nature, ensuring comfort and safety for production processes, employees, and visitors. This approach is expected to increase the added value of salak products, promote local economic sustainability, and enhance Turi’s tourism appeal. The findings will provide guidelines for similar facility developments in other regions and contribute to the theory of eco-factory concepts in agricultural contexts.
