dc.description.abstract | Research on the effect of reflux time on Au/TiO/Zeolite synthesis for photodegradation of batik waste has been carried out. The method used is photodegradation using photocatalysis material. Photodegradation is the process of breaking down an organic compound with the help of light energy. Photocatalysis is a combination of photochemical processes and catalysts. Research begins by activating natural zeolite using HCI. The synthesis of Au/TiO/Zeolite is carried out by mixing TiO2, Zeolite and HAuCl precursor. The catalyst is stirred and oxalic acid is added and varying the reflux time. The Au/TiO/Zeolite is applied to batik waste which has previously been filtered. Characterization using XRD obtained crystal sizes for zeolite, Au/TiO₂/Zeolite 2 hours, Au/TiOs/Zeolite 3 hours, Au/TiO/Zeolite 4 hours, and Au/TiO/Zeolite 5 hours respectively at 32,1836 nm, 52,4923 nm, 50,9639 nm, 43,0947 nm, dan 31,0532 nm. Spectrophotometer DR- UV results showed that the band gap energies of TiO₂, Au/TiO: Zeolite 2 hours. Au/TiO/Zeolite 3 hours, Au/TiO/Zeolite 4 hours, and Au/TiO₂/Zeolite 5 hours were respectively 3,11 eV, 3,05 eV, 3,07 eV. 3,07 eV, and 3,09 eV. The spectrophotometer UV-Vis results show that in the wavelength range of 500-700 nm, it indicates that the compounds (especially blue indigosol) in the batik waste have been degraded and obtained a degradation percentage is 28,2%. | en_US |
