Background: Drinking medicine in liquid dosage form is widely used for children because of its ease of use, one of which is because the taste is liked by children. However, the use of oral medication carries a risk of error due to different units and measurement tools. These errors can potentially cause undesirable effects, in the form of not achieving a therapeutic effect or the occurrence of drug side effects. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge and attitudes of female employees of the Islamic University of Indonesia regarding the use of oral medication. Methods: This research was designed in the form of a cross-sectional survey with research subjects being mothers who were employees of the Islamic University of Indonesia. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire that had been previously developed and validated on research subjects in Malaysia. Before use, the questionnaire was revalidated using subjects with almost the same characteristics as the subjects to be used in the research. The data obtained was processed descriptively and also inferentially to determine differences in several aspects related to the research topic based on the respondent's characteristic variables. Results: A total of 56 respondents, female employees of the Islamic University of Indonesia, filled out Ais research questionnaire. The results of the study showed that 64.8% of the female employees of the Islamic University of Indonesia had "sufficient" knowledge about the use of oral medication. As for the attitude aspect, 88.2% showed a "good" attitude. The results of bivariate statistical analysis showed that there was no relationship between the demographic characteristic variables of respondents and knowledge and attitudes regarding the use of oral medication. Conclusion: The majority of female employees at the Islamic University of Indonesia have sufficient knowledge and good attitudes regarding the use of oral medication, and no relationship was found between demographic characteristics and knowledge and attitudes regarding the use of oral medication.en_US
