| dc.description.abstract | Increased waste generation due to the increase the pace of development, as well as industrial and household activity. Based on the background and the existing problems will do research on Waste Management Effectiveness Study Based 3R in Kulon Progo Regency. The purpose of research is to identify 3R-based waste management activities and the level of effectiveness of the 3R-based waste management and improve the quality of work of each based waste management 3R transfer station facility in Kulon Progo Regency. Research methods in primary data collection are interviews and observation while data collecting secondary data, research, journals and literature search was. The method used in this research is the Likert method. In calculating the effectiveness with which the instrument on a Likert scale is a score of 4 for the best value and the lowest score of 1 for value. Before performing data processing needs to be done in research surveys, interviews and questionnaires so that the results can mutually support each other. Interview questionnaires carried out by people who were directly involved in TPS TPS workers 3R and 3R. The results obtained in waste management conducted in seven polling stations in Kulon Progo Regency 3R uses the concept of community-based waste management be educating waste reduction at source of waste transportation services and waste management in TPS 3R.
Study of solid waste management effectiveness at 3R transfer station of four aspects: operational techniques, financing aspects, organizational aspects and public participation aspect.
