dc.description.abstract | Background: Smoking is one of the problems that are still difficult to be controlled. Everyone knows that nicotin toxins contained in cigarette smoke can
be harmful to health. Smoking habits problem facing today arise from various
terms of age, educational status, and marital status. To overcome the problems,
the government gives the policies through government regulation (PP) number
109 of 2012 on safety of materials containing addictive substances form of
tobacco products for health, and the rule from ministry of health (Permenkes) No.
28 of 2013 health warnings on inclusion and health information on packaging of
tobacco products to include the creepy picture on the packaging or cigarette packs.
Objective: To determine the effect of differences in visual label the risks of
smoking and the attitude of public transportation driver, especially drivers of
public transportation in the city terminal Indramayu.
Methods: This study used quantitative research methods with cross sectional
approach. In this study, the sampling used consecutive sampling. With total of 97
respondents met the inclusion criteria. The Analysis used T test method if the data
distributed normally, yet mann whitney as alternative method. The research
instrument questionnaire. Prior to distributed, this questionnaire was applied for
validity and realibility test. There were 8 questions items for visual label and 14
question items for attitude.
Results: According to validity and reability of visual label found only 6 questions
were valid hence realibility test obtained 0,742 cronbach alpha statisticaly
reliable. Mean while, validity and realibility for attitude questions found only 6
questions were valid. Hence realibility test obtained 0,888 cronbach alpha
statisticaly reliable. Based on the analysis used Mann Whitney for attitude was
found p value 0.913 and p value for visual label obtained 0.090.
Conclusion: Based on the analysis, it was concluded that there was no difference
in the effect of visual label the risks of smoking and the attitude of public
transportation drivers in the city terminal Indramayu. | en_US |
