| dc.description.abstract | Prambanan Station is a potential of public transportation capable of
providing symbiosis mutualism in the region, formerly called Station Brambanan.
Located between the Borders of Yogyakarta and Klaten has a strong tourism and
religious potential from its history. Standing in a cultural heritage area where
several temple objects were found as a sign of a major event at that time and
destroyed when the 2006 earthquake occurred in Yogyakarta and surrounding
areas.
Now as an active railway station and having synergy with PT Taman
Wisata Borobudur and Prambanan is not specially prepared to support tourism in
Prambanan area. Unsuitable Capacity and Facilities make a lack of interest among
the people using this cheap public transportation. On the other hand, the potential
of Prambanan Station is the center of strategic public transport transit for
Prambanan. It indicates the presence and opportunity of railway users more and
more then the need for the re-development of Prambanan Station as a Transit
Station that support the area of Prambanan with some new facilities owned.
The problem solving analysis on the needs of railway users is based on
railway user behavior assessment, commuter rail operations during peak hours, and
human circulation at the station as a solution to solve capacity problems. Capacity
Issues from Stations will be achieved using Multi level Vertical Building with a
high-rise building system and approach (TOD) as a system for integration between
humans and public and private transport. Regarding the identity of Prambanan
Station, it will be studied from Prambanan area where there are various kinds of
temples which will then be translated in the form of building transformation. | en_US |
