    Abstract
Kamadenan intersection had a problem about traffic queue. The length of the queue made vehicles passing at the intersection require up to four times the cycle time to get out of the intersection. This study aimed to evaluate the performance of the Kamdanen intersection and give alternative solutions to improve it. The data was analyzed using MKJI 1997 and modeled with the Vissim software. The results showed that the intersection had a degree of saturation of north arm by 0.85, west arm by 0.72, south arm by 0.49, and east arm by 0.44. The queue length on north arm was 153.85 m, west arm was 50,25 m, south arm was 106,67 m, and south arm was 95,46 m. The delay value for north arm was 74.56 sec/pcu, wast arm was 50.25 sec/pcu, south arm was 48.72 sec/pcu, and east arm was 50.25 sec/pcu. The most optimal alternative solution was widening the track by 0.5 meters on all arms and a cycle time of 129 seconds using allred for 2 seconds and amber for 2 seconds. The degree of saturation at the intersection after modelled was 0.51 for the entire arm. The queue length for the north arm was 20.58 m, the east arm was 23.29 m, the south arm was 28.60 m, and the west arm was 27.63 m. The vehicle delay for the north arm was 37.64 sec/vehicle, the east arm was 39.04 sec/vehicle, the south arm was 48.85 seconds/vehicle, and the west arm was 35.41 sec/vehicle.
