    Abstract
Failure or damage to the Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course pavement before entering its design life is still common. One of the factors that influence failure, namely the material used in the mixture. Preventing damage to the pavement can be done by improving the quality of the pavement. In this study, LDPE and rubber tire additives were used to obtain the additive effect on the AC-CW pavement in terms of volumetric, IRI, and skid resistance values. Primary data was obtained from tests of specific gravity, softening point, and penetration of modified asphalt, while secondary data was obtained from research. Test specimens with additive levels of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% for optimum asphalt content were made after the proportions of aggregate and asphalt were according to specifications. After that, testing was carried out on each specimen by volumetric testing, Mean Texture Depth testing using the Sand Patch Method, Skid Resistance testing with the British Pendulum Tester, and Marshall Properties testing with the Marshall Test. The results showed that the effect of using LDPE plastic waste was better in improving volumetric values compared to using waste rubber tires. The effect of additives on unevenness showed that the unevenness value of rubber tire waste was better than LDPE plastic waste. The effect of LDPE plastic waste on the Skid Resistance value is better than rubber tire waste. The asphalt content of LDPE plastic waste obtained was 5.52% and the asphalt content of rubber tire waste obtained was 3.7%.
