    Abstract
    Zona B Landfill Arrangement of TPA Regional Piyungan Project is a project that aims to close TPA in the zone to become a green open space. The heavy equipment used for heap work is excavators and bulldozers with a solid volume of 28,054,513 soil materials and 135,435,647 waste materials. The importance of heavy equipment raises problems regarding determining the use of equipment according to existing conditions, so an analysis of the effectiveness of heavy equipment and its combination is needed. In this study, observations were made of the working hours of each tool, specifications of heavy equipment, and work data used. After that, an analysis is carried out to calculate the stockpile volume, equipment productivity, rental costs, the number of tools needed, and the total time needed for the combination that has been obtained. This combination is calculated through the use of three alternatives that will calculate the most effective and efficient cost and time differences compared to conditions in the field. The results of calculating the combination of heavy equipment for field conditions take 821 hours for IDR 1,208,471,400.00. Meanwhile, the first combination alternative takes 657 hours and costs IDR 1,186,218,000.00. The second alternative takes 493 hours and costs IDR 1,186,628,800.00. The third alternative takes 657 hours and costs IDR 1,191,653,600.00. Therefore, the recommended alternative for the Zona B Landfill Arrangement of TPA Regional Piyungan Project is the second alternative which requires 4 units of Komatsu PC200-8 excavators and 2 units of Komatsu D85-10.
