Abstract

Construction project activity is a long process, which in practice are found problems and constraints One problem that often occurs is inefficiency and waste (waste) in the implementation of construction. Waste is an activity in projects that result in losses. The author tried to do a study on the waste that occurs in construction projects in the Yogyakarta area by analyzing the type of material that the highest frequency of occurrence and the factors that cause it. Research using the mean rank analysis carried out on the construction project is being done in Yogyakarta.Metode used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, and literature. After doing research, then do the data processing and the obtained mean values indicating the type of material waste its highest frequency and the most influential factor causing waste. From the analysis of the type of waste material with the highest incidence rate in construction projects in Yogyakarta are wooden formwork with a mean value of 2.6190. In addition, factors that influence causes the waste to the type of timber formwork material due to damage caused by manual carriage.
