dc.description.abstractRoad segment of Taman Siswa in Yogyakarta city is one of the road that connects the center of transport destination in Yogyakarta, such as station Lempuyangan, station Tugu, and malioboro. Therefore, many private vehicles were piled up on this road. It caused that the road have transportation problems, such as traffic jams, especially during rush hour. The evaluation performance on Taman Siswa road in Yogyakarta city conducted by using primary data of field survey and secondary data obtained from Badan Pusat Statistik Yogyakarta. Traffic volumes data surveyed in 2 days (September 6 to 7, 2016), for 5 hours per day during rush hours with period of 6:00 to 08:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. Secondary data is the population and number of vehicles in Yogyakarta. The performance analysis of road segments used Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (MKJI) 1997 with degree of saturation (DS) as the main indicator of the road performance. The results of analysis shows that the performance of segment road on existing condition have not meet the eligibility standards with the degree of saturation (DS) of 0.79 two-way total on Taman Siswa road in Yogyakarta City. Based on forecasting analysis that in 2017 DS also did not meet the eligibility standards of 0.83. DS value in 2019 is 1.05. The performance improvement steps of segment roads have done in three scenarios. In 1st Scenario that the installation of heavy vehicles signs are banned. In 2nd Scenario did the application of one-way roads, especially for the North - South. In this scenario, degree of saturation values in 2019 obtained of 0.79. In 3rd scenario, widening traffic lanes become to 9 meters with 0.5 meters addition in each lane. In fourth scenarios is the application of road widening and one-way road. Degree of saturation in 2019 amounted to 0.67.en_US
