dc.description.abstract | Population growth has a significant impact on transportation demand. With proper road
infrastructure, these traffic activities will go smoothly. As an important mobilization channel,
roads must be able providing safety and comfort for users. The solution to good service also needs
good paving materials. However, in combination with modified connecting materials, the paving
material becomes even better. By using mechanical empirical method of the KENPAVE program,
the average daily traffic data was used for analysis to find the pavement thickness, asphalt
stiffness modulus (Sbit) value, mixed stiffness modulus (Smix), and predicted road damage, and
then transfer function is performed to reach an acceptable number of lanes to receive a
representative load. Based on the results of the analysis, it is possible that the mixture of Asphalt
Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC) with Starbit E-55 and Pen 60/70, showed the first signs of
permanent damage to the road structure. Deformation damage is 37,645,893 ESAL on Starbit E 55 and 37,174,111 ESAL on Pen 60/70. In terms of performance, the blend of AC-WC with Starbit
E-55, compared to the blend of AC-WC with 60/70 rods, can overall withstand higher loads in
terms of damage parameters. The mixture of AC-WC and Starbit E-55 is known to have
advantages over its performance, so based on the results of this analysis, use of a mixture of AC WC and Starbit E-55 is recommended as an alternative or solution to the maximum dramatically
reduce the risk of road damage and increase the service life of the road surface. | en_US |
