dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to find correlation between work engagement and burnout among employees of oil and gas company located in Riau, Sumatra. This company engaged in drilling services, service-over work & well, integrated project management, equipment rental, implementation & training of human resources. The company has been serving customers in large numbers. The hyphothesis of this study is: there is negative corelation between work engagement and burnout among employees. This research used two scale: a measure of work engagement , which is a modification of Schaufeli, Salanova, Gonzales-roma, and Baker’s, and a scale to measure burnout, which is a modification of Greenberg and Baron’s. The method to analyze the data is product moment method. The result shows that work engagement is negatively and significantly correlated with employeess burnout with r value of -0.492 and p = 0,001.en_US
