This study aims to determine the relationship between positive thinking with stress. This study was conducted in patients with hypertension at the Regional Hospital in Salatiga, with a sample size of 50 respondents. Measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of the adaptation of Fahmi N.A (2012) on which refers to the theory Sarafino (1994) for Stress (40-item) and scale adaptation of Albercht theory (1980), which amounted to (40-item) for Positive Thinking. The results of data analysis using product moment correlation technique of Spearman showed that there was a significant positive correlation between the Stress Positive Thinking with r = 0,826 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05). These results explain that there is a significant positive relationship between Positive Thinking with Stress in patients with hypertension in hospitals Salatiga so the hypothesis is accepted.en_US
