The Yogyakarta – Barongan road section is a provincial road which connects the tourism places between Imogiri and Wonosari so it needs maintenance and repair in order to use for traffic importance according to its function. Road’s condition evaluations is needed before the maintenance and repair process. The goal of this research is to determine the type of damage, the level of damage, and determine how to repair Yogyakarta – Barongan road pavement damage. Implementation of this research includes assessing pavement conditions visually by the methods of Pavement Condition Index (PCI), by dividing the road of Yogyakarta - Barongan over 2000 meters into the segments of 5,5 x 100 m. Subgrade Dynamic Cone Penetrometer test, (DCP), California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test of field on the surface level, and traffic surfey isneeded to do to know the traffic intensity and the additional thickness by AASTHO 1993 method. The results of this research is to know the type of damage that occurred on the road such as alligator cracking, block cracking, depression, longitudinal and transverse cracking, patching, spade, weathering, and fine grains. Dominant damages of alligator cracking is 1405,749m2 or 12.78% of Yogyakarta - Barongan total road secton and PCI values obtained by an average of 48.2 or it means that the pavement conditions is intermediate (fair), DCP test results obtained by the value of subgrade CBR average of 15.10% and the value of representing the subgrade is 7.7%, CBR test results obtained by CBR of the field base test is 68.39%. The LHR results as much as 5849 vehicles per day. Damage repairs was done to the type, the location, and the level of the damage. If the additional coating from the analysis of additional layers thickness is done, by the age of 10 yearsit is acquires an additional 6,4 cm thick layer.en_US
