Design Oh Water Colony Future Water Adaptive Settlement In Sudimampir Area Responding To Rising Sea Level In Banjarmasin

Abstract

The city of Banjarmasin as a city at the very end / downstream in the province of South Kalimantan with geographical conditions that are below sea level and located surrounded and even on the side of a large river which is directly connected to the sea of course also greatly aaected by the impact of global climate change or the sea level rise. TheThe Sudimampir area, Ujung Murung and Pasar Lima are historical areas that have contributed a lot in triggering the growth of the city of Banjarmasin. The condition of the area's old infrastructure (the average building is over 50 years old) has made many of the conditions unfit for function. This condition makes the area even more worrisome, it is feared that soon, it will not even take ten years to function because the puddle of water will increase. From the above, three main problems are obtained that will be addressed: 1). Looking for a development concept that is able to deal with issues of the impact of rising water which will be stronger in the riverbank area; 2). Maintaining and strengthening the existence of the Sudimampir service trade center area and the surrounding area as the initial center for triggering the growth of the city of Banjarmasin (an area of historical value). 3).3). Carry out the stages of structuring / development without ignoring or stopping service trading activities in the area.
