| dc.description.abstract | Wall is one of an element of the building that has a function to separating or shaping the room. Nowadays, many people who use a pair wall made of red brick, brick, lightweight brick, precast concrete and so forth. This research is focused on productivity of brick wall and lightweight brick wall in improving the quality of materials, time, and cost.
The object of this research took two types of field, in the Whiz Hotel Yogyakarta and non-engineered building (simple house). According to productivity result, the work of brick wall was 16.31 m2 per day and the work of lightweight brick wall produced 32.44 m2 per day. The productivity of the lightweight brick wall was 110% or 1.99 time higher faster than the productivity of brick wall.
Cost for the work of brick wall was about Rp 141.694,00/m2 and cost for the work of lightweight brick wall was about Rp 156.546,50/m2. Cost of lightweight brick wall was more expensive rather than brick wall, the differences was 110% or 1.1 times higher. To the test of water absorption in the brick porosity value was obtained (11,21%) smaller than porosity value of the lightweight brick (10,55%). Based on the test of concrete strength in the brick was came by 23.9052 kg/cm2 greater than the compressive strength of lightweight brick (16.5778 kg/cm2). | en_US |
