This research was undertaken to determined structure performance of a multi-story building that was built before the code of earthquake published. Nowadays, the latest seismic regulation has been published which is called SNI 1729-03-2012 for the design of resistant building and non-building. Inna Garuda Extention Hotel built in 1989 was selected as the research object. The building which was evaluated to determined level of structure performance and probability of damage by provided the load pushover to four directions building. Performance evaluation of structure was used the FEMA 154 to evaluated rapid visual screening (tier 1). Tier 2 evaluation was used Demand Capacity Ratio (DCR) that refer to SNI 1729-03-2012, while tier 3 evaluation was used by coefficient evaluation on the methods of ATC – 40 analysis, FEMA 356, FEMA 440, and manual analysis. The Analysis of Tier 3 evaluation was utilized pushover analysis supported by ETAB’s Version 9.6. According to the Table 2.1 FEMA 154, the building was catagoriezed in the high seismicity region, therefore the RVS form was used here was high seismicity form. The final score of rapid visual screening high seismicity was 0.5 and the probability of damage number was 31.62%. The quick check can be known that the result of drift ratio analysis in the moment frames apparently there was a weak story. The checklist contained several components of structure that was not eligible or Non-Compliant (NC), so it was needed further evaluation to the tier 2 evaluation. Tier 2 evaluation was evaluation of DCR analysis that contained component of column which had the value over 2.0; therefore it must be continued by pushover analysis of tier 3 evaluation. The value of drift ratio in the tier 3 evaluation was less than 1.0% of the four methods with immediate occupancy performance level (IO). By the level of immediate occupancy performance, the Inna Garuda Extention Hotel showed that there was no significant damage to the structural components; it also showed the strength and the stiffness almost had the similar condition before the earthquake. The result of plastification by using pushover analysis on the ETAB’S program has been found many hinge plastics in the components of column especially in the ground floor; in consequence the damage can be predicted to occur in the components of element column in the ground floor (base level building).en_US
