dc.description.abstractYogyakarta special region is famous for its tourism sector, the concept of Yogyakarta to meet new civilizations by reversing the paradigm of "among tani" became a "dagang layar" and the development potential of renewable energy which one form of Regional Innovation Systems (SIDa) development Project Power Plant Hybrid (PLTH) which located on Pandansimo Beach, Poncosari Village, Bantul, making the area as a new strategic area that will be grown. Therefore, there are also problems such as energy technology development, is still a bit, public awareness regarding renewable energy utilization is still low, and also the lack of facilities and infrastructure supporting these aspects. Effected by several factors, the Design Museum renewable energy is expected to become a landmark of the "city of Education and Renewable Energy-based approach to Green Landscape" in Bantul, as one of the icons of renewable energy development areas and means to embody and introduces things related renewable energy that is both educational and recreational. As the foundation, planning is conducted through a landmark approach in processing forms and building facade so as to meet the criteria as a landmark. In addition, as an inherent educational and recreational renewable energy then the museum should be able to relay information about matters related to renewable energy effectively, simply and clearly through the collection and also provides a free and relaxed, dynamic explorative as recreational as well as claims processing through circulation and space view arrangement. In order to make the revenue planning of this renewable energy museum to meet the criteria for landmark, its form and building facade are made contrastively and more prominent from the environment surrounding. At visual art building wrapper provided in the form of ornaments as secondary skin to draw attention to the eyes and also functions as a marker so that the museum building is easy to remember. Moreover, the determination of buildings locating, building orientation and perspective view into the museum area become consideration on the design so that the museum building is easy to be recognized. To meet the concept of educational, it is carried out by making space show section based on certain themes, providing clarity an informative collection of objects and also use strips of circulation with moderate and proper arrangement so that the information more easily delivered to visitors. Thus, the concept of recreational is carried out by giving modification in the composing rooms elements which presents exhibition techniques that inviting the visitors’ participation as well as providing space or area to gather so that every individual can mutually interact.en_US
