    Abstract
This study aims to find the relationship between self-control and smartphone addiction in Overseas Undergraduate Students. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a negative relationship between self-control and smartphone addiction in Overseas Undergraduate Students. The subjects of this study were 204 Overseas Undergraduate Students of all Universities in Indonesia. The measuring instrument used in this study is the self-control scale (SCS) by Tangney, Baumeister, & Boone (2004) and smartphone addiction inventory (SPAI) by Lin et al (2014). The results showed a negative relationship between self-control and smartphone addiction in overseas undergraduate students using the Spearman Rho technique of -0,635 with a significance of 0,000 (p<0,05). Based on the results of this study, it confirmed that with the value coefficient correlation and significance value between selfcontrol and smartphone addiction, there is a strong and significant negative correlation.
