dc.description.abstractThis study attempts to search the association between external locus of control and resiliency of convict. The tested hypothesis was that higher external locus of control was correlated with lower resiliency. Young Convict are the subject in this research. Their convict at jail in Curup. Subjects in the study were inmates. The scale used is the resilience scale author compiled with reference to those aspect resilience expressed by Reivich and Shatte (2002). Scale external locus of control have also been prepared with reference to writers on the theory presented by Rotter (2005). The collected data were processes by product moment analysis. Result of the study indicated that external locus of control was significantly related to resiliency with r value – 0, 718, p = 0,000 (p<0,01). The results of data analysis is the hypothesis accepted. . Key words : External Locus of Control, resiliency, convicten_US
