dc.description.abstractThis study aims to find out the quality of life in adolescents with autism. Subjects in this study were autistic adolescents aged 17 years and 22 years, to communication, have an educational background since childhood to get adequate care (treathment). Subjects in this study amounted to two people and subject's parents as a significant other. This study used a qualitative approach to the case study method. The sampling technique of this study was purposive sampling. Data collection methods used was interviews, scales, and observations. The data analyzed this research by content analysis. These results indicate that the quality of life in people with autism to viewed from four aspects: physical health, psychological health, social relationships, and environment. For people with autism have a positive psychological impact, namely an optimistic attitude and high motivation, negative psychological impact as people with autism to get pressure and the refusal from the public/society on limitations. All efforts are influenced by factors of education, parent’s support in developing the potential. In this study acquired a new aspect that can improve the psychological quality of life and social relations indirectly. Key words: Quality of life, People with autismen_US
